PDA was founded by architect Akshay Rajendraji Mantri, with the practice taking shape fully in 2022.
His approach to architecture is shaped by a research-led education and a sensitivity to context developed early in his academic journey. This inclination was further strengthened through his Master’s in Architecture and Design at Oxford Brookes University, where his work focused on research-led applied design.
Alongside professional practice, he has remained engaged with academia and the arts. Influences from painting, poetry, and visual culture inform his eye for space, material, and proportion, while varied project experience has reinforced a belief in thoughtful, responsible design grounded in real conditions.
